How the GET was created

Once upon a time one man was riding a pallet jack in an empty warehouse. After 3Mph fan ride all the excitment was analised and a powerfull seed thought was borne. It happend in a year when people were talking about Segway but nobody actually saw it.
With skyrocketing gas prices we started looking for ways to save on gas. The stylish three wheels vehicle was conceived as an alternative commute
solution.  

The Interbike show 2009

First prototype

The very first prototype was an agly one with a few cool features such as a tiltable frame and a strictly vertical pedal movements. At the Interbike show in LV there was mixed reaction from the crowd: great concept but bad implementation.  The trike drew a lot of attention from
the media and we decided to continue our jorney.  Anyway a seafood buffet in our hotel was perfect and the show was great.
 For the curiosity of our readers, we show here the first picture of the GET. After the show we have scrapped the whole design and extracted a lesson.

A magical transformation

It is very easy to turn the Segway into the GET. Riding the Segway is a balancing act. It is exactly what makes its cool and complicated at a same time. Two more things prevent Segway from being everywhere – high cost and the Segway’s legal status on a street. In simple terms the Segway is not welcome on a street. We are going to solve these three major issues in seven simple steps.  Please follow these steps and you would probably agree with our engineers.

We need to give more room for the rider. We can lean backward the Segway and it will be our first step.

Step one

Step two - In order to increase a longitudinal stability we have
to add two wheels behind.

Step two

Now we need some sort of frame to connect rear wheels and the front end - this is a step three.

Step three

We going to reinforce the frame and add a transmission because we want to exercise and return back to home even if a battery is dead. This is our step four.

Step four

In step five adding a battery is a smart move. Flying above the
ground is a sensational filling and you need to try this once in a while. Forget about pedaling and experience pure continuous joy, you deserve it.

Step five

In step six we want our transmission to be alive, so we need to add pedals. 

Step six

Now it is a good time to throw away gyroscopes, computers, sensors and all the other staff which makes the Segway so complicated. Step seven concludes the transformation; we get the GET which is the Segway on steroids.

            The second prototype

Design:
The focus was on a compact, stable and environmentally friendly personal transportation models for city short distance commuters and on a fitness machine.                                                             The production prototype

After more than 3000Mi of vigorous testing, more than 200 actual user's comments and suggestions, the final advanced version was born. A new slick look, reinforced frame, universal bracket attachment, adjustable frame height, detachable front, rear wheels and a battery, and many more other features.
